In a high-tech-social-media-savvy-stay-connected world, “Back to School” means more than books, pencils and other old school supplies. Today, tech savvy school kids demand devices, laptops and other electronic tools to stay relevant in a ever growing technological world and hands-on learning in a high tech classroom.
To showcase all the cool back to school tech gadgets, our friends at AT&T invited the Tampa Bay Bloggers to the Florida Aquarium to test out some of their latest and great high-tech devices.
The touch screen notebooks such as the LG G Pad and the Microsoft Surface certainly captured the attention of the young students and mommy bloggers.
We discovered AT&T accessories such as the Martian Smart Watch help keep us connected discreetly and fashionable, but hopefully never fashionably late.
And Lord knows, teens always love comfortable, wireless, noise canceling Bose headphones to turn up the beats and drown out their parents.
However, the virtual reality accessories such as the Samsung Oculus stole the show! The Oculus was a big hit with little and big kids alike. This device quickly transforms any mobile phone into state-of-the art virtual reality headset that travels. With the help of Oculus, a few of our bloggers explored space while others traveled through the streets of New York City.
In conjunction to this event, all attendees were asked to take AT&T’s #ItCanWait Pledge. Texting and drive is so tempting but far too dangerous! Take the pledge to drive without distractions and you will receive a cardboard virtual reality simulator which attaches to any smartphone reminding you to keep your eyes on the road.
As part of the event, AT&T wants to help your little guppy’s school year start with a BIG SPLASH with a #Back2SchoolTech SPLASH PACK! The #Back2SchoolTech SPLASH Prize Pack includes FOUR tickets to the Florida Aquarium**! And to show how learning can be an ocean of fun, the AT&T SPLASH Prize Pack will also include Ion Party Starter Bluetooth Speaker!
Turn your phone into an instant disco tech with the Ion Party Starter, a wireless, full-range speaker with colorful beat-sync’d lighting that turns any place into a party space. Stream music from your phone and create a dance party anywhere! You will have to “sea” it to believe it!
To enter to win the #Back2SchoolTech SPLASH Prize Pack, tell us what #Back2SchoolTech device would you love to test?
