Hi! My blog is Plate Girl, where I write about entertaining and being entertained. I’ve been super busy this past week, attending the wonderful Clearwater Beach Uncorked, setting 75 of my red, white and blue plates at a recent Veteran’s Day luncheon for Dress for Success, showing Thanksgiving tablescapes on Channel 8, working with two new social media clients, getting a part time job, and shuttling my girls around to work and doctor appointments now that we’re down to two cars again. Whew!

Here are a few of my favorite blog posts from my some lovely ladies from Tampa Bay Bloggers in the last week:

First is Caitlyn Connelly from Live, Sweat, Sleep, Repeat, who shared a sponsored post from Sprouts Farmer’s Market. Caitlyn, who writes about fitness, food and lifestyle, challenged herself – and her readers – to get #livinontheveg by adding more vegetables to their diet with Up Your Veggies with Sprouts #LivinontheVeg. Stopping by Sprouts, she found the ingredients, including organic pasta, garbanzo beans and cukes to make one of her dad’s good ol’ favorite, pasta veggie salad. Caitlyn, who’s always doing something fun or going someplace exciting, while taking great photos, reminds us to eat up when it comes to veggies and protein.

Next I headed to Heather Montgomery’s Through Heather’s Looking Glass. I just did a 5k two weeks ago and I have got to start walking (and maybe running again) soon so I thought I’d see what kind of advice Heather had. In her Running on the Treadmill Without Losing Your Mind. Because it’s not always easy to get out to run, Heather gives some motivational tips on how to get rid of those excuses and make it easier to get back up on the the dreadmill. Heather’s run a ton of races, so I trust her advice on how to get back on track. She’s also got a post on how to pack for an out of town run, and other running advice.

Then, Melissa Santell of FoodxFeels, gets us in the Thanksgiving mood by sharing fun memories of family and Thanksgivings and her recipe for Serrano Fondue in a Roasted Pumpkin. After she gives us a mental picture of her and her sister dancing around the kitchen with a raw turkey, she then shares her photos of a creatively carved pumpkin – something I’ve always Meant to do.

Also, I head never heard of Serrano’s condiment, but again, if Melissa recommends it, I’m going to try it. I don’t know if you’ve seen Melissa’s Instagram, but she’s got some gorgeous pics And she knows her restaurants. I’m glad she added some Fon-Dos and some Fon-Don’ts, because it’s not something we make on a regular basis (ok I haven’t tried it in 20 years) so I can use some extra tips.

Now we want to hear from you! Welcome to #FridaySharefest 11/9/18!
