Hi everyone! My name is Diana (that’s me in the middle!) and I am the coordinator of Tampa Housewives in the City. I run our local blog, social media, and host our monthly events. If you haven’t joined us at one of our Girls Night Out socials yet, be sure to come out! All are welcome, and we are always at fun venues around the Tampa Bay area. Our next event is at Cantina Laredo in the Shops at Wiregrass on Feb. 22.
I am also mom to three boys and this past weekend we checked out the LEGO Ninjago Days going on at Legoland. If you have LEGO fans in your home, you need to check it out! Read all about our experience on my blog.
Here are a few of my favorites from the last week:
I am currently beginning to house-hunt and am feeling like a real adult, so I was drawn to some great posts by our Tampa Bay Bloggers who focused on some “adulting” topics!
My first favorite was from Rachel of Small Towns and City Lights who posted about the hidden costs of buying a home. We are working with a realtor, mortgage lender, and financial advisor, but it was so great to hear the perspective of someone who has bought a home recently!
In the spirit of budgeting and being responsible, I liked Denise from RunDMT’s post about saving for college with Florida Prepaid College Plans. I was lucky that my dad saved for my college fund with Florida Prepaid, and I have been meaning to start accounts for my boys. Have you started saving yet?
Because “adulting” is hard and we all need a break, I LOVED seeing Alex of Alex the Real Housemom share her experience vacationing with kids in Park City, Utah. While I love our sunny, warm state of Florida, taking a vacation to ski and play in the snow is a wonderful break!
