Welcome to #FridaySharefest 5/18/18!

Each week for our #FridaySharefest, we spotlight bloggers in our community to showcase some of the faces in our community of bloggers. This week our host is Jenny!

Hello Tampa and beyond!! I’m Jenny, from Metamorfit On my blog I write about great books for your little ones to read, and also great books for YOU to read. When I’m not busy being a book goddess, I’m mom to the #TampaTrio, my little gang of Irish Triplets. Irish Triplets? Yes, 3 kids born in 3 consecutive years. My oldest born in 2004, my middle in 2005, and my baby in 2006. I guess they really aren’t babies anymore, are they? With my oldest set to start high-school in August, I’m sort of going into major freakout mode. But I’ll get through it. We all do, don’t we?
In addition to blogging about books, I also blog about stuff that I do with my family, from outdoor activities, to mom duties, and how in the world I’m going to pay for college for 3 kids at the same time. I’m also the Community Engagement/Social Media Manager for Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library     If you don’t follow the library on social media, you really should. Especially if you live in the Tampa Bay Area. Your local library can be a GREAT place to escape the heat on a hot summer day, and engage your children in a variety of activities that can help prevent the dreaded summer slide. HCPLC Footer box 500x500

But enough about me. Let’s chat about some of the great posts I read this week from other Tampa Bay Bloggers.  Here are a few of my favorites from the last week:

Gina, over at Boss Babe Club, gave us 14 Ways to Deal with Rejection. Rejection is never fun, and it’s never easy. One of my favorite quotes from the blog post is from Andrejka. Andrejka gives this advice: “do not take it personally! Look at your past clients and their feedback. Chances are the positive feedback and clients that come back over and over outnumber the little bit of rejection that is bound to happen with every business.” SO TRUE!! Check out the other 13 tips over at the blog post.

We’re also in that time of year where blueberries are in season, and we’re firing up the grill. Hopefully not at the same time, but if anyone can figure out a way to make good grilled blueberries, it’s going to be Steph over at Orangespoken. Steph always shares the most amazing recipes and this one makes my mouth water just looking at the picture. With Memorial Day just around the corner, I know I’ll be having my husband making these wings! YUMMY!!! Our family is just beginning our research into the ketogenic way of eating and these wings fit the bill perfectly!

And since I now have blueberries on the mind, I’m going to share a  post from Alex over at Alex the Real House Mom.  Alex had the opportunity to visit the Wish Farm blueberry farm, and let’s just say I’m purple with envy!! We grow our own blueberries in our backyard (we have 4 large bushes) but I have no idea what variety they are or what the names of the different parts of the plant even are! I just walk outside and pick them. Alex explains the who, what, where, when and why of Wish Farms and now I feel so much more knowledgeable about blueberries. And hungry. Hungry for chicken wings and blueberries. Thankfully I have Gina to lead me through not taking it personally that Steph and Alex didn’t invite me over.
