Welcome to #FridaySharefest 5/4/18!

Hey everyone! May the 4th be with you all! You may or may not know me but I am Tracy of Eat, Drink & Be Tracy and Forking Around Town, I am so happy to be hosting #FridaySharefest again and am super excited about the features this week. I must admit, I have been going through a very rough time the last few weeks as my heart was broken again by my boyfriend of a year. I have been fighting the sadness by watching all of my favorite bloggers and influencers kick-butt with everything they are doing, They do not know this but they have been my source of strength through this dark time and a reminder that I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Here are a few of my favorites from the last week:

Denise of Run DMT shares her experience of seeing the delicious musical, The Waitress, at Tampa’s Straz Center for Performing Arts. Can I just say how incredibly sad I am to have missed this? The movie version came out when I was pregnant with my daughter and is one of my top ten favorite movies. This was the one musical I really had my heart set on attending but sometimes life has other plans for us. What I loved most about this story is how much it resembled the period in my life when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was just like Jenna and living a miserable life all while dreaming of escaping to something better. When my daughter was born, I suddenly became free and realized that we can all create our own happiness, much like baking a delicious pie. I am sure I would have been crying my eyes out at this performance but regardless, I am so sad I missed it.

How many of you have been on a cruise? I have only been on one and am anxious to go on another. I was able to live vicariously through Jessica (aka Tampa Mom Runs) and her recent 7 day Caribbean cruise. Can I just say JEALOUS! Everything she experienced from the food and spacious cruise ship to the scenery and impeccable service has me anxious to book a cruise in the very near future. My one and  only experience on a cruise was fun but after reading about Jessica’s experience, I am craving a few days at sea.

Apparently I have vacation on the brain as I absolutely loved reading about Megan’s (I Run 4 Wine) incredible stay at Sirata Beach Resort in St. Pete. We are so blessed to live where everyone wants to come for vacation and Megan showcases the beauty of Tampa Bay with her incredible feature on the stunning Sirata beach Resort. I think that once I get over my heartache, I will be planning a weekend getaway to reset and recharge my batteries.

Just look at that view. Every time I watch the sunset, I feel like God is showcasing his love for us. Sunsets have always been my favorite part of the day and the Gulf Coast has some incredible ones. Megan shares her wonderful experience at the resort and has me wanting to book a weekend there stat! Her stay there is everything I want in a beach weekend…..relaxation, no stress and the peace of the ocean.

I hope you all have a great weekend, I am getting ready to head to Utah next week for Everything Food Conference. This trip could not come at a better time as I need to get away from things and come back with a fresh mind and ready to get back at it. Now that I am single, I will have so much more time for myself and doing what I love most……..showcasing my love for this great place I am blessed to call home.
